Susa Coffey, MD, HS Clinical Professor, is an attending physician at the UCSF Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine at SFGH and Lead of the RAPID ART program at SFGH.
Academic Focus: Dr. Coffey leads the RAPID ART and Rapid Restart programs at SFGH and supports implementation of RAPID ART programs in the United States. She was the longtime Editor-in-Chief at the UCSF Center for HIV Information and HIV InSite. She has developed HIV-related educational and training materials for domestic and international use, using web-based and print formats. She also trains medical residents and medical students in the care of persons with HIV infection. Her interests include antiretroviral therapy, immediate ART initiation, primary care of persons with HIV/AIDS, and underserved populations.
