Monica Fung, MD

Associate Professor

CLINICAL ACTIVITIES
Monica Fung specializes in infectious diseases with a focus on patients with compromised immune systems, including those with solid organ or stem cell transplants. She attends on the Immunocompromised and General Infectious Diseases Consult Services, and has clinics in the 360 Wellness Center and Infectious Diseases Faculty Practice at UCSF-Parnassus.

RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL PURSUITS
Monica serves as Co-Director of the Transplant/Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases Program. Her research focuses the application of novel diagnostics to improve diagnosis of infections among transplant recipients. She directs the Transplant/Immunocompromised Host track within the UCSF Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program, and serves as a small group leader for the Pathogen Host Defense course in the School of Medicine.
