Binh Diep, PhD

Professor

The Diep lab just received an IDIQ contract from the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for the “Pre-Clinical Models of Infectious Diseases – Task Area A – Small Animal Models of Infectious Diseases” program for the period from 2024 to 2031 (contract no. 75N93024D00018). As 1 of 33 awarded contractors under the PCMID program, the Diep lab is uniquely positioned to provide our six published rabbit infection models, including the acute bacterial skin and skin structure infection model, aortic valve endocarditis model, prosthetic joint infection model, non-ventilated pneumonia model, ventilator-associated pneumonia model, and hyperdynamic septic shock model, for preclinical efficacy testing of novel antimicrobial drugs, biologics and vaccine against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
