Daniel Minter, MD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Daniel Minter is an infectious diseases specialist who cares for patients with a broad range of bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections. He has a special interest in caring for immunocompromised patients (e.g., from organ transplantation or cancer treatment) as well as patients with neurologic infections. He also attends on the medicine teaching wards, where he enjoys working with residents and students.

He is heavily involved in medical education across a variety of settings. In addition to direct teaching, he is the co-director for the School of Medicine IDS 113 course, a longitudinal curriculum which seeks to reinforce understanding and application of the foundational sciences during medical students' clinical rotations. He co-directs the UCSF ID Division Grand Rounds series and is the co-director for the UCSF ID fellowship Transplant ID track.
